A delicious soft cookie,that melts in your mouth revealing almond marzipan and almond flavor. I added 2 tbsp of orange liquor (grand marnier) to the dough.

What you need for about 40 pieces

1 + 1/3 cups / 200 gr of flour

2 egg yolks

1 stick / 120 gr of Butter

3.5 oz (half a pack) / 100 gr of marzipan

1 tsp on vanilla extract

1/3 cup / 50 gr of powdered sugar

pinch of salt

zest of an organic orange / or 2 tbsp of orange liquor

Step by step:

​

I n the bowl of your stand mixer, cream the butter and powdered sugar together. Keep beating, add the egg yolks and salt. Roughly chop the marzipan. Mix well into the dough. Add vanilla extract, flour and orange. Beat until well combined. 

​

Chill the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes.

​

Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 325 F / 160 C. 

Roll the dough into 1 inch thick rolls. Cut into 1 inch thick pieces. Place on a baking sheet and bake for about 12 minutes.

​

Let cool slightly then roll in powdered sugar. Let cool completely.
