Creamy pasta carbonara with bacon, eggs, parmesan and heavy cream. There is also a version without cream on this webpage, which you can find here.

It is quick and easy to make. The bacon (ham if you prefer) is browned in a pan with some olive oil. The pasta comes on top to soak up all the savory deliciousness from the bacon. Turn off the heat, pour over the egg, cream and parmesan mixture. Stir well until combined. Add some arugula at the end. That's it.

What you need (for 4 people):

Pasta dough #1 or store bought pasta

4 eggs

1 cup / 250 ml of heavy cream per person

1 cup of grated parmesan

6 slices of bacon cut into pieces

a little salt & pepper

How to prepare:

Roll out the pasta dough and cut into spaghetti. Cook until al-dente for about 5 minutes. Or cook pasta following instructions on the box.

Mix eggs, cream and parmesan in a bowl. Cook the bacon over medium heat in a large frying pan until crispy. Add the cooked pasta and stir with a wooden spoon.  Let the pasta soak up all the yumminess from the bacon. Turn off the heat and pour the egg-cheese-cream mixture over the pasta. Stir well and let the heat of the pasta and pan cook the eggs and cream.

Serve with some parmesan on top on a bed of arugula leaves (optional).

Enjoy
